What is Asia Helpers Home?
Asia Helpers Home is a recruitment and job-matching platform for domestic helpers and employers to find each other with ease even at home.
How does the platform work?
Very simple. Helpers who are looking for a job can submit their profiles online, through mail or through phone. When employers look for a domestic helper, they can search for the database of helper online and post a job opening. You can browse these openings online and apply to employers directly.
Why did you make this platform?
There are thousands of domestic helper agencies everywhere in Hong Kong and for employers, it is impossible to tell the good from the bad. For employers, it is often difficult to know where to start finding a helper and they will resort to starting the search online – but there are not many trustworthy platforms for job-matching and recruitment for helpers. We aim to build a trustworthy online platform so employers and helpers can sit back at home and find each other without only relying on traditional domestic helper agencies. We know as we are employers ourselves.
What is AsiaHelpersHome verified?
Having this sign next to a helper's name in our database means that the helper has been verified and recommended by her/his previous employer. It is a sign of “trust” and quality assurance for prospective employers.
Is my data and employers’ contact data safe with you?
Absolutely, all data collected are solely for job-matching and employment purposes only. We will not sell or exchange your data to unaffiliated third parties. In addition, your contact data is only visible to paid members (i.e. employers looking for helpers).
Can you do the paperwork for us at the Immigration Department?
No, we do not handle the paperwork. We can, however, refer your new employer to trustworthy agencies to do the paperwork on their behalf. The application fees are the employers’ responsibilities. In other words, the whole job search process remains entirely free for you.
Are you a registered company?
Yes, we are a brand under GVES Hong Kong Group. We are based in Hong Kong and registered with the Hong Kong Government. Our registration number is xxx. Please do note we are not an agency and we DO NOT handle immigration paperwork.

Asia Helpers Home allows you to submit profile on one online platform so you don’t have to be confined to employer clients of traditional domestic helper agency on the street. You will have a wider choice of prospective employers

Obtaining recommendation from employer (optional)
You are encouraged to include your former employer’s contact so that we can help you verify your experience with the employer. Verification from previous/current employer will greatly add confidence to prospective new employers so that you are much more likely than others to be hired.

Apply to jobs
Once you have submitted profile, you can also send your profile to the employer directly through this platform. Of course, you are more than welcome to contact the employer through traditional methods like phone, email and/or Whatsapp

Video interview
Our tool allows employers to schedule a video interview with you online so that you can find a job anytime, anywhere and do not need to wait for Sundays to interview for a job.
What is the cost of using your platform?
Asia Helpers Home is completely and forever free for domestic helpers. In addition to being free, you can win prizes with us when you submit profile to us and refer your friends to do the same. View our latest giveaways J
Can I register with you in addition to traditional agencies I use?
Absolutely. We do not require you to only confine your job search with us.
Does the law allow me to look for an employer myself without an agency?
Yes, there is no need to use an agency to look for your perfect employer in Hong Kong.
What kind of jobs can I look for on your platform?
All types of domestic helper jobs and driver jobs. You can choose whether you are looking for a full-time, part-time, temp or a driver position. Employers who are looking for any of these positions can also post opening on our platform so you can search for jobs and apply with them.
When should I submit profile and look for a job?
You should start looking for a job at least 3-4 months and as early as 5-6 months prior to the end of your current employment contract.
If you are uncertain whether your current employer would like to renew contract with you and is not comfortable asking, you can fill out your profile and ask us for help.
How long do I have to look for another job in Hong Kong after my employment contract expires?
You only have two weeks. That’s why we encourage you to start early. Finding an employer on our platform allows you to conduct a first interview via video anytime during the week. You do not need to wait for your day off to look for a job.
Will submitting my profile takes a lot of time?
No. Filling a profile only takes 5-10 minutes. They are all multiple choice questions. Once you fill in your profile, your availability can be viewed by all employers looking for a helper.
Can I call you so you can fill in the profile for me?

Can I submit profile and communicate with you in my native language?
Yes. We provide translation support between English/Chinese and Indonesian/Filipino.
Can I submit profile on behalf of my friend who is looking for a job?
Of course. You can collect your friend’s photo and information from him/her and submit their profile to us. Please just make sure to have his/her email and phone number so prospective employers can get in touch directly with him/her.
Can my employer submit a profile on my behalf?
Sure!
Do I need to fill in every question on your profile form?
Only those marked with asterisk (*)
How can I apply to employer job postings?
You can browse for employer job postings but you need to fill out your profile in order to select your profile and let our system automatically send to the employers you choose.
How do you get employers to recommend us?
Once you submit your profile including current/previous employers’ information, we will email or call the employer to request a recommendation for you.
Is it mandatory that I provide my employer’s contact detail for verification?
You are not required to provide your employer’s contact detail for verification. However, you are encouraged to do so as you will stand out among the candidates and greatly increase your chance of finding a suitable employer. Besides, most hiring employers will eventually ask this from you anyway.
How can I win the prizes I saw on your flyer and Facebook page?
To be eligible, you can refer friends to fill out their profile on Asia Helpers Home. The number of friends you refer will determine the prizes you can win. Please see our “Refer friends” page for details.
Can I request an interview with an employer whom I find fit?
While you can submit your profile to an employer’s job posting and/or contact them via phone and email, only employers can invite you to a first round video interview.
What should I bring to an in-person interview?
As requested by employers. Usually, a prospective employer will ask that you bring a copy of your passport, identity documents and employment contract for verification purpose.
